The Brides Guide

Brides! This is it the day starts at your location if you have selected a package that allows time for the getting ready block of time. Time wise I always recommend 60-90min depending on how much your are trying to achieve. Lets face it we could plan this part of the day for hours. Who doesn't love glam with friends and celebrating the start of the day. Below is a sample guide to prep and prepare if you opt in for this service.

Photographer arrives:

-1st up details. Any small details for still photography. Have these ready in a clean well lit room for best photos. Also have your florist leave a few extra stems for great accents. Use this great reference list. You certainly don't need to provide all and you can also add what ever you want to be included This usually only takes about 15-20min as long as its all ready for the photographer.

Dress (Dress Hanger)

Shoes

Jewelry

Perfume

Flowers

Invitation set

Rings (all of them if possible) Ring Box

-After details you should be getting ready for your last hair and makeup touch-ups. This is a great opportunity for a few photos of the fresh makeup and hair. Time to allow 5-10 min max

-Are you and the girls doing a robe or pajama group photo? This is that time now that all hair and makeup are done. Popping Champagne or confetti poppers are most popular this time of day. Time to allow 10-15min

-Time to get dressed. don't forget to use the restroom trust me. Bridesmaids and moms and grandmas should be first to dress. If you've chosen someone special to button your dress they should be dressed for this window of time. Now we take you into your designated room (well lit and clean). After dressing, jewelry and perfume then shoes. You can now put veil on if you have one. Time to allow 20 min

-After the buttoning of the dress you are ready for a good 10 min Bridal portrait session using some amazing window light. any first looks you'd liker to do. Be sure to let photographer know if you are planning this. Great photo opportunity with anyone you choose to do this with. Dads, moms, bridesmaid or even grandparents. Depending on how many first looks time to allow 10-20 min

- Top 3 things that will cause to fall behind on the timeline:

Hair & Makeup Schedule. Be sure to let your vendors know when you'd like to be finished for photos and make sure all girls are prompt and on time

Steam those dresses early. Steaming dresses after makeup and hair is not recommended as the moisture from the steamer may alter hair or add extra humidity to make

Have all belongings packed and ready to go that you'll need to bring with you early. Keep a list in the event you need to have someone help.
